Litter Pick
In contrast to last year's wet weather, 18 residents including 5 Cllrs, turned out on a warm sunny Saturday morning for the annual litter pick last Saturday. As usual Vaughan and Geoff cleaned and cut back around the road signs. Most of these are now very dilapidated. A small amount of litter was collected. There was however a considerable amount of debris at the flood site on the top road. Broken undertrays, hub caps and other vehicle related parts were collected. Retiring to the hall, coffee and cakes were consumed with much friendly chat. Thanks to all those who took part and those who organised the refreshments. Thanks also to NDC for the load of the equipment to complete the job safely. Finally the small amount picked up is a tribute to those who regularly retrieve litter from our roads.
Cllr Philip Hughes, Chairman.
Update on Installation of Second Defibrillator
The necessary paperwork has now been completed with National Grid and payment has also been made, we are hopeful that the installation of the second defibrillator will take place soon and by July. Once installed the Defibrillator will be added to the national data base (the Circuit) and the Parish Council will need to nominate someone to undertake the monthly checks and submit the reports. As a reminder to everyone if a medical situation is experienced you should dial 999 in the first instance and will be directed to the nearest defibrillator.
Calendar of Meetings
At the Annual Parish Council Meeting it was agreed to schedule Parish Council Meetings every other month to the end of the Council year, The Parish Council does have the ability to call Extraordinary Meetings if business needs to be addressed sooner. The meetings will be scheduled for:
